Update Password Instructions for Students and Faculty

If your account password has not expired, you can update your password before the expiration date by following the steps below.

1. Navigate to the password management tool at passwords.rwu.edu.

2. Enter your username into the login box. Select Academics from the Domain drop down menu. Press Login.

Students will use the following format: First initial of their chosen name + Last name + followed by the 3 numbers assigned to you. (Ex. jstudent123)

Faculty will use the following format: First initial of their chosen name + Last name (EX. jstudent)

3. Enter your password. Press Login.

4. Select the Change Password Tab.

5. Select Accounts that you would like to reset. We recommend resetting all accounts, so passwords synchronize.

6. Enter the required criteria fields. The new password will need:

Eight Characters Long
Capital Letter
Number
Special Character
Can't contain any sensitive information (Name, Social Security Number, etc.)
Can't be one of the last three passwords used

7. Select Change Password
