Password Reset Instructions for Faculty

1. Navigate to passwords.rwu.edu and select 'Reset Password'.

Password Management Homepage. The option to Reset Password is highlighted with a red box.

2. Enter your Username, select your domain, and type in the CAPTCHA. As a faculty member, your username will be the first initial of your chosen name, full last name. The domain will be ACADEMICS.

First step in Reset Password process. Below the 'Forgot your Password?' header, user can type in their username, domain, and captcha. At the bottom right is a green box with the word 'continue' in it.

3. Select a verification option and enter the CAPTCHA. In the example below, the user selected the option to send it to their email. Once sent, the user can select their email address from the drop down menu. Once selected, they can type in the CAPTCHA.

Second step in the Reset Password process. Under the 'Get a Verification Code via Email' header, user can select the email to send the code. Other options may appear depending on user. At the bottom right is a green box with the word 'continue' inside.

4. Check your email for the eight digit verification code and enter it below.

Third step in the Reset Password process. Under the 'Verification code has been sent to' header, there is a box for the user to type in the code sent to their email. At the bottom right is a green box with the word 'continue' in it.

5. Create a new password below. Please ensure your new password meets the following criteria:

Minimum eight characters long
A capital letter
A number
A special character (!,@,#,$,%,^,&,*,etc.)
Cannot contain any sensitive information (Name, Social Security Number, etc.)
Cannot be any of the last three passwords used

Final step in the Reset Password process. Image shows the final step, where the user can type in the new password. On the center of the screen there is a "Select Accounts" menu, a box to type in the new password, and a box to retype the password. A green box with the word Reset Password is at the bottom right hand corner
