Updating and Resetting Passwords at RWU (Staff)
Updating passwords occurs when logging into the password manager website and updating your passwords through it. This usually happens when your password expires soon, or you want to update it before it expires.
Resetting your password is when you use the reset tool because your password has already expired, or you have forgotten it.
Updating your passwords
1. Navigate to passwords.rwu.edu

Login
- Username (e.g.jdoe)
- Your Password
- Select “RWU”as your domain

2. Upon login, navigate to “change password”

3. Update your passwords

RWU account– Used for
- Faculty&StaffWi-Fi Connection
- Login for RWU issued device
- Eduroam Wi-Fi login

Office 365 for Faculty&Staff– Your Microsoft account:@rwu.edu
- Google Apps (G Suite) – Your Google account: @g.rwu.edu *if applicable*

Once the accounts are selected, enter your old password (the one you used to sign in earlier).

Create anew strong password and confirm it.
Password Requirements:

At least 8 characters

Cannot be one of your last 3 passwords

Cannot be a password you just used

Can be a password used over 180 days ago

Must meet password complexity requirements
When finished, click “Change Password.”
A confirmation screen will appear showing which accounts were successfully updated.
Resetting Your Passwords
1. Navigate to passwords.rwu.edu
2. Select “reset password”

3. Enter username (e.g. jdoe)
- Select domain “RWU”
- Enter characters

4. Verify identity
- Security questions
- Email verification

5. Select based on your method of verification
- Select email address
- Enter characters

6. Enter verification code sent to email

7. Select accounts and reset password
